The number of fans that can be controlled via PWM Sharing Technology on a fan header depends on the motherboard's output and the amperage of the respective fans. Motherboard fan headers generally have an output of 1 to 2 amps. The amperage of our fans can be found on the back of the motor hub and in the technical details.
Example: If a fan has an amperage of 0.2 amps and the motherboard fan header has an output of 1 amp, up to 5 fans can be operated in series via PWM Sharing Technology.
Four fans without PST technology can be connected in series using the PST Cable Rev. 2. Their speed is synchronized in the process.
The ARCTIC Fan Controller enables parallel control of up to ten fans.
